Who we are

This website is for Cristal Clear Window Cleaning Services, a window cleaning business working in Middlesbrough, Stainton, Coulby Newham, Ormesby, Marton, Nunthorpe, Guisborough, Redcar, Linthorpe, Acklam, Normanby, Flatts Lane. In this notice, "we" means that trading name.

What this website collects

You can read the pages without giving us your name, email address or phone number.

If you send the quote form, we collect the name, phone number, email address, property address, postcode, the service you chose, and any extra notes you type. That form is handled on this website and emailed to us so we can quote. We do not use a third-party form host.

If you phone us, we may keep the details needed to quote and carry out the clean: your name, your phone number, the address of the property to be cleaned, and notes about the windows, frames, doors, soffits, fascia, external gutters, conservatory or commercial premises. We use those details to arrange the visit and to keep ordinary business records.

The pages are hosted so they can be viewed online. The host may keep short technical logs, such as an IP address and the page requested, to keep the site running and to deal with misuse.

Why we use personal information

When you ask for a quote or book a clean, we use your details to take steps toward a contract and to perform that work. Sending the quote form is a request for us to quote. We also rely on legitimate interests to keep basic records of visits, to answer a later call about the same house, and to protect the site from misuse. Those interests are limited to running a small local window cleaning round.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for automated decisions.

Payment

You can pay online by direct debit, or by a secure link we send in a text message after the job is completed. The text link opens a payment page run by takepayments. Card details for that payment are entered on takepayments' page, not on this website. We do not see or store the card number. We may keep a note that the job was paid, with the booking details above. takepayments handles that payment under its own terms and privacy notice.

Map

The contact section shows a Google Map of the Middlesbrough area. Google may process technical data, including your IP address, when the map loads. That processing is covered by Google's own terms and privacy notice.

Cookies

This website does not set its own analytics or advertising cookies. The quote form uses a short session cookie so we can check the form was sent from this site and show a success or error message. The embedded map may set cookies when it loads. You can control cookies in your browser.

How long we keep information

Quote notes and job details are kept while they are needed for the booking, any follow-up on that visit, and ordinary records of work done. When they are no longer needed, they are deleted or reduced to the minimum still required.

Host logs are kept for a short period for security, then overwritten in the normal course of hosting.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only where it is needed to run the site or the work: the hosting provider (including sending quote form emails from this server), Google when you load the map, and takepayments if you pay by the text link. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Where information is held

We are a UK business and we aim to keep customer notes in the UK. Website hosting and the map service may process technical data outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards required by UK data protection law, such as the UK extension to the EU-US data bridge or standard contractual clauses, where the provider uses them.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:

confirm whether we hold personal information about you, and for a copy of it
correct information that is wrong
delete information, in the cases where the law allows deletion
restrict how we use it, or object to use based on legitimate interests
receive information you provided, in a portable form, where the request relates to automated information used under a contract

Children

This website is written for people booking window cleaning for a house or a commercial property. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this notice changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
